Why Obtain a Geology Minor?
Here are the Geology Minor Requirements from the Cal Poly Catalog.
A minor in geology is a great complement to many majors:
- Civil Engineering - especially those in the geotechnical engineering concentration.
- Physics (B.S. or B.A. programs) - a minor in geology can help you become a licensed professional geophysicist. If you are in the Physics B.A. program, you have a lot of free electives that you can apply towards the geology minor.
- Environmental Management and Protection - ENVM.
- Of course, anyone else is welcome too.
